Adding Property Editors
Property Editors
Property Editors are the different fields, on the window, that you will be interacting with. There are many to select from depending on the type of information you will want to capture.
To create a new Property Editor, click the Editors tab on the Software Object window and click the New button.

Here you will create or edit your Property Editor.
Property Name and Caption
1: The property name must be a unique name in order to distinquish your Editors from each other.
Property Editor Name Rules:
Do not use any type of special characters like .$%&* and so on.
Do not start the Name with any type of numeric value. example: 1wordprocessor would give you an
error.
2: Caption will be seen on the Grid and Detail Views by your end user.
Customization
1: When you relate objects to each other you will see part of the Object information in different Detail Views. By selecting the Default Property, this will display this Editor in those other Software Objects views.

2: To select a type of editor, double click anywhere on the Picture Box to bring up the Editor menu.
Options
3: You can elect to have the Editor not show up in the Detail View by checking this box.
4: The grid show columns for each property Editor. Sometimes it is best to hide some columns to make it easier for users to navigate. Once this is checked, the column will not appear in the Grid View.
5: A Lookup View is a pop up window that displays a list of items that you can choose from. You can hide the column, in the Lookup View, by checking this box.
Description
As time goes by, your software product could contain many different Property Editors. You can set a description to help maintain your software program.
Rules
You can create special rules to help insure that your end users would be entering in the correct information. This helps maintain the quality of your information.
